All NUS Lecturers / TAs Should Read This

We don't need long explanations of the theory, etc. All we want to know are three things:

a) What kind of problems we need to solve
b) What we need to know to solve it
c) How to solve it.

Likewise for labs. All we want to know is this:

a) What must we do?
b) What kind of readings must we take?
c) How to do the lab report?

Okay, a little extreme I must say, but sometimes I do wish that our lecturers will cut to the chase and explain to us what we REALLY need to know :P

I think the idea behind labs is for you to understand the concepts involved and learn from the experience...not to write lab reports and for the TAs to teach you how to do the reports.

exactly. but once in a while we'll get a TA who speaks in a hard-to-understand accent and drones on and on about the theories... but on the other hand, i do understand some concepts better after labs and doing the reports ;)

but what i do not like about lab reports is kind of like everyone's trying to outdo one another to get the perfect 10/10..?

as for lectures... the fluids 2 lecturer really takes the cake. showing us videos of his experiments.. :S
